My name is Jasmine Yu.
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Hong Kong.
What did you do for university ?
I have always loved art and design, and that led me to study in Paris for Fashion and creative direction. My experience includes engaging in visual merchandising and fashion campaigns with brands such as Cartier and Schiaparelli.
What is your work inspired by?
Most of my work are inspired by nature and earth, with my Cartier project inspired by orchids specifically, flora and fauna as the the subject.
Do you have any experience working as a florist ?
I had the opportunity to work in a flower shop near my apartment in Paris for 7 months before I graduate.
When did you become interested in floristry?
I have been a huge fan of a Floral designer named Catherine Muller for a long time, in 2023 I finally attended her course during summer and I was in awe. I attended a few more courses after that. She gave me the courage to change my path from fashion to floristry.
through flowers, colors, and composition, each element and detail is important. A simple bouquet can become a reflection of an individual's emotions and intentions.
